SK-3100 Purse Seiner/Trawler

Skipskompetanse has developed a concept design for the next generation of "coastal" purse seiner and pelagic trawler. The vessel is well suited for adaption to the 500m³ regulations for coastal seiners, but can also have a fish hold of up to 700m³.

The basic design is arranged with two net bins for the option of fishing saithe. A spacious aft deck allows a good arrangement for trawling. The vessel can be arranged for 6 or 9 RSW tanks, with optional closed forecastle deck and adapted to most combinations of pelagic fishing. The design is based on the latest rules and regulations and will be tested in towing tank in order to optimise the hull shape.

The vessel has a length of 46m, beam 12m and moulded draught of 4.5m.
