SK-4100 LonglinerSkipskompetanse has developed a concept for the next generation of longliners. The vessel is designed with a moon pool, but the line can also be hauled through a traditional side hatch. The base model is arranged with a centered long line system and has a spacious room for fish factory. The vessel is designed with two diesel-electric driven azimut thrusters for propulsion, a solution that provides good redundancy and manouverability. The ship is also fitted with a side thruster at the bow. The engine room is arranged with diesel-generators that can easily be taken out of the vessel to be maintained or replaced. (The ship can also be fitted with conventional propulsion system). Emphasis has been given on optimising heavy and repeated work operations, and we have focused on crew safety, comfort, low emissions and good fuel economy when designing the vessel. The design is based on the latest rules and regulations and the the hull will be tested in towing tank for optimisation of hull lines. The vessel has a length of 56m and breath 14m. 3D Viewer
