Ro Arctic

Ro Arctic was designed in cooperation with Rostein AS, Naviera Orca SA and Larsnes Mek Verksted AS. The goal was to design and build the live fish carriers of the future. The main focus was put into ensuring proper fish handling and hygiene. All systems were designed and arranged before the external design was “wrapped around” – a proper inside-out design.

The project was supported finacially by Innovasjon Norge. Ro Arctic has since been the basis for many sister ships in the live fish carrier series for Rostein and later Naviera Orca. With every new build based on this design, improvements and optimalization has been done to ensure constant development of the designs.
