Arctic Pearl sets the course for the Barents Ocean and new, sustainable seabed harvesting.

With the delivery of the completed conversion build by Fiskerstand Verft AS, the Arctic Pearl set the start for a new era in fishery. Ava Ocean now sets the course for the Barents Ocean and will start harvesting from the seabed with the new specially developed equipment for this type of fishery. Such harvesting have been banned for over 30 years, but with this new technology, Ava Ocean will be able to harvest from the seabed without damaging it.
The vessel’s Godmother was Alexandra Bech Gjørv from SINTEF.
