Two fishing vessels for Taiwan

Contract on two new-builds for construction in Taiwan

Skipskompetanse has signed a contract with Jong Shyn Shipbuilding in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan on complete design for two fishing vessels.

The vessels will have a length of 35.8m, beam of 9.5m and will be delivered in 2015. The vessels have been designed and developed by Skipskompetanse, and we will deliver all drawings, production documents and calculations.

The vessels will be equipped for purse seine and pelagic trawl, and will be arranged with state of the art equipment. Deck equipment, hydraulic systems, cranes and winches will be of Norwegian make. The design is based on our SK-3100 design but scaled down and adapted to local conditions and needs.

The propulsion system will be of diesel-mechanical type with a power of approx. 2000kW with a shaft-generator of about 1000kW.

The vessels will have six RSW tanks with a total capacity of about 370m3.

The vessel will have accommodations for a crew of 12 in 6 cabins, a mess/day room, wardrobe and a 360 degree view wheelhouse.
